Summary: The Management Accountant role at a leading media business in Cardiff focuses on management reporting and efficiency creation. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and post month-end journals, accruals, and prepayments.
- Produce and analyse monthly management accounts with insightful variance analysis against budget and forecast.
- Ensure the timely close of actuals in accordance with the Group timetable.
- Partner with operational teams to review project performance, costs, and profitability.
- Provide financial support and challenge to project managers and budget holders.
- Ensure accurate project accounting and alignment with Group reporting standards.
- Prepare and submit financial data and commentary for Group-level consolidation.
- Use SAP for transactional processing, reporting, and analysis.
- Liaise with Group Finance to ensure compliance with group policies and deadlines.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline finance processes and enhance reporting quality.
- Support internal and external audit processes as required.
Key Skills:
- Fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or international equivalent).
- Proven experience in a Management Accounting role.
- Strong background in month-end close, reporting, and financial analysis.
- Experience working at a Group Finance level.
