Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Produce and post key journals including accruals and prepayments.
  • Support the commercial finance team with performance analysis.
  • Develop processes and controls to manage risks in line with Group requirements.
  • Assist in producing accurate monthly and quarterly financial results.
  • Support the year-end statutory audit process.
  • Manage the Fixed Asset Register and ensure timely postings.
  • Facilitate a smooth month-end process with Transaction Services.
  • Support variance and trend analysis by site and GL line item.

About The Role

Our Finance Team is looking for a Management Accountant. In this role, you will be part of our Country Finance Team and will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, assisting in year-end audits, producing journals, and supporting project work. Reporting directly into the Finance Manager, you will collaborate with experienced and knowledgeable senior finance partners and accountants. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Ensure that balance sheet reconciliations are prepared on a monthly basis, and that all balances are correct and differences investigated.
  • Production and posting of key journals including accruals, prepayments, accrued and deferred income.
  • Support the commercial finance team with information and performance analysis to assist decision making for local teams
  • Develop robust processes and controls to ensure risks are managed appropriately in line with Group requirements.
  • Assist in the production of accurate monthly and quarterly flash results for Financial Planning and Commercial teams.
  • Assisting in the year-end statutory audit process.
  • Other ad hoc projects as required by Finance Director or Financial Controller.
  • Manage the Fixed Asset Register and ensure timely postings on acquisition/disposal of assets.
  • Work with Transaction Services (AP/AR/Banking) to facilitate a smooth month-end process.
  • Support variance and trend analysis by site, by GL line item.
