Summary: The role of Management Accountant involves overseeing the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes for a large organization in the aerospace and advanced manufacturing sectors. The position requires collaboration with operational managers to drive financial improvements and manage financial reporting. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience in business partnering and financial analysis, working primarily on-site with some hybrid flexibility after training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the annual budget and quarterly forecast process across all business units, ensuring robust financial planning and consistency with company financial objectives
- Contribute, working closely with local business/operational managers, in defining/proposing the list of improvement projects
- Manage the provision of financial reporting
- Challenge operational performance and support/advise management in achieving their targets by driving improvement measures and mitigation actions on all financial topics
- Participate in the assessment of business cases/proposals
- Financial controlling activity in the categories: Recurring Cost, Inventory, Non-Recurring Cost and Capex Jigs/Tools (on request)
Key Skills:
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA)
- Experience in business partnering, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Experience in a manufacturing or commercial environment in a management accounting or business partnering role
- Knowledge and experience in SAP or equivalent financial reporting tools
- Strong communication skills to liaise both internally and with external clients

We are representing a large well known organisation who are looking to hire a Management Accountant for a 12 month contract in the Belfast area. About you: You will be a Qualified Accountant (CIMA), with good experience in business partnering, forecasting and variance analysis. Hybrid working will be available after the initial settling in and training period.
