Summary: The role of Management Accountant involves overseeing the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes for a large organization in the aerospace and advanced manufacturing sectors. The position requires collaboration with operational managers to drive financial improvements and manage financial reporting. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience in business partnering and financial analysis, working primarily on-site with some hybrid flexibility after training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the annual budget and quarterly forecast process across all business units, ensuring robust financial planning and consistency with company financial objectives
  • Contribute, working closely with local business/operational managers, in defining/proposing the list of improvement projects
  • Manage the provision of financial reporting
  • Challenge operational performance and support/advise management in achieving their targets by driving improvement measures and mitigation actions on all financial topics
  • Participate in the assessment of business cases/proposals
  • Financial controlling activity in the categories: Recurring Cost, Inventory, Non-Recurring Cost and Capex Jigs/Tools (on request)

Key Skills:

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA)
  • Experience in business partnering, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Experience in a manufacturing or commercial environment in a management accounting or business partnering role
  • Knowledge and experience in SAP or equivalent financial reporting tools
  • Strong communication skills to liaise both internally and with external clients
  • Continuous improvement mindset

We are representing a large well known organisation who are looking to hire a Management Accountant for a 12 month contract in the Belfast area. If you are interested in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, or engineering you will be working with one of the world's leading organisations in this space.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Drive the annual budget and quarterly forecast process across all business units, ensuring robust financial planning and consistency with company financial objectives
  • Contribute, working closely with the local business / operational managers, in defining / proposing the list of improvement projects
  • Manage the provision of financial reporting

About you: You will be a Qualified Accountant (CIMA), with good experience in business partnering, forecasting and variance analysis. Ideally you will have worked in a manufacturing or commercial environment in a management accounting or business partnering role. You will have good knowledge and experience in SAP or equivalent financial reporting tools You will have strong communication skills to liaise both internally and with external clients You will have a continuous improvement mindset This role will require 3 days in the office. Hybrid working will be available after the initial settling in and training period.
