Management Accountant

Your new company

A fast-paced, international business in Bath is looking for a Management Accountant on a 12 month fixed term contract to start ASAP.

Your new role

Reporting to a Senior Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in improving the month-end process and delivering accurate, timely financial reporting. The role will include:

• Ensure all month-end journals required for the monthly management accounts are posted accurately and within agreed timelines.
• Ownership of balance sheets, including accruals and prepayment schedules for their respective areas.
• Liaise with the business/ Commercial Finance to ensure that all revenue and costs are recorded accurately, in line with accounting standards and Future's accounting policies.
• Ad-hoc reporting and analysis to aid in the review of management accounts.
• Answering queries from both the business and wider finance teams as required.
• Create accurate ad hoc journals as required.
• Ensure all tasks and processes are carried out in line with the company control and governance framework.

What you'll need to succeed

We are looking for a proven Management Accountant that is immediately available or available on short notice. Ideally we are looking for:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Strong management accounting experience
• Solid experience of month-end close and financial reporting
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• A process-improvement mindset
• Ideally, experience using AI or automation tools within finance to improve efficiency and accuracy
