The opportunity
Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will help maintain accurate reporting and strong financial controls while supporting a busy finance function through an important period.
This is a hands-on assignment combining regular month-end activity with forecasting, compliance and process improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare clear and timely internal financial reports.
- Produce weekly cash-flow forecasts and monthly VAT returns.
- Post month-end journals and complete general-ledger and balance-sheet reconciliations.
- Provide monthly financial information to the wider group finance team.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and statutory-accounts work.
- Assist with internal and external audits and contribute to ad hoc finance projects.
- Identify practical improvements to financial and operational processes.
About you
- ACCA or CIMA qualified, with solid management and financial reporting experience.
- Strong, up-to-date technical accounting knowledge and excellent attention to detail.
- Organised, confident managing competing priorities and able to communicate effectively across the business.
- A practical self-starter who can combine professional rigour with commercial needs.
- Inventory experience would be useful.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or Navision would be advantageous but is not essential.
