Summary: The Maintenance Surveyor role involves overseeing in-house and external repair services for a large social housing organization in Tonbridge, Kent. The position requires conducting inspections, managing customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. The role is temporary until the end of September and operates on a hybrid working arrangement. Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out pre and post-inspections and create detailed reports for responsive repairs, void works, and cyclical repairs.
  • Act as the primary contact for customers, ensuring the highest levels of satisfaction.
  • Manage the performance and progress of the repairs service, ensuring that quality works are delivered on time, with minimal defects, and within budget.
  • Ensure all activities comply with relevant statutory regulations.

Key Skills:

  • Qualification in a property-related discipline, such as HNC in Surveying, or a degree-level qualification.
  • Membership in a relevant professional body such as RICS or CIOB.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage customer relationships.
  • Ability to travel across the region as required – full UK Driving Licence required.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK; not able to offer visa sponsorship.
