Summary: The Maintenance Scheduler Specialist is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to enhance asset reliability and minimize downtime. This role involves developing maintenance schedules, aligning resources, and ensuring compliance with procurement processes and budget management. The specialist also tracks work execution progress and supports overall maintenance efficiency through effective reporting and analytics. Strong experience in oil and gas maintenance planning is essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain annual and monthly maintenance work plans, covering PM, CM, and planned shutdowns.
- Track execution progress and analyze deviations or variances, recommending corrective actions as needed to stay within budget and timeline.
- Support the planning and execution of maintenance activities through cost estimation, benchmarking, and risk analysis.
- Apply project control tools and techniques to support schedule optimization, resource allocation, and forecasting of cost/schedule risks.
- Leverage automation tools and data analytics to improve planning accuracy, execution efficiency, and reporting quality.
- Monitor and report on small-scale maintenance projects and shutdown activities, ensuring consistency with contracts, available spare parts, and inventory strategies.
- Analyze material usage trends and forecast future needs to ensure inventory stability and operational continuity.
- Prepare and maintain dashboard reports, KPIs, and performance summaries for internal and management-level reviews.
- Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making, budget planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support audit and compliance activities related to maintenance costs, execution quality, spare parts usage, and asset performance.
- Monitor critical inventory levels and support optimization of stock levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
Key Skills:
- More than 10 years’ experience in upstream or midstream oil and gas maintenance planning, budgeting, or business support roles.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions; prepare clear and concise records, reports, and other written materials.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, manuals, drawings, specifications, and process diagrams relevant to the oil and gas industry.
- Skilled in data extraction and process analysis to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with relevant oil & gas industry experience.
- Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles.
- Proven supervisory experience with strong planning and hands-on skills.

Activities
1. PM/CM/Shutdown Work Program Management
