Maintenance Plumber/Mechanical Engineer

Summary: The role of Mechanical Bias FM Engineer involves providing multi-skilled maintenance services, including reactive and pre-planned maintenance, primarily focused on mechanical and electrical systems. The position requires collaboration with contractors and adherence to legal standards and company policies to ensure high-quality service delivery. The role is temporary with the potential for permanent placement, operating Monday to Friday for 40 hours per week in Burton-on-Trent. The engineer will also be responsible for optimizing equipment reliability and performance through effective diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend to reactive and pre-planned maintenance service requests within agreed SLA.
• Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service covering electrical, mechanical, and building fabric disciplines.
• Carry out modifications and installations as required.
• Liaise with contractors or external suppliers and communicate technical issues clearly.
• Ensure work is carried out to high standards and in compliance with legal standards and company policies.
• Maximize availability of mechanical and electrical equipment through continuous improvement and cost reductions.
• Maintain equipment using sound diagnostic and problem-solving skills, reporting issues to the Facilities Manager or Lead Engineering.
• Maintain, repair, and calibrate electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation plant for reliability and maintainability.
