Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing maintenance team of 4 team leaders and 30 personnel.
  • Plan and execute maintenance activities within a large-scale manufacturing environment.
  • Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Analyze KPIs to make informed decisions.
  • Develop training programs and competency frameworks.
  • Conduct reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and criticality analysis.
  • Ensure high completion rates of planned maintenance work orders.
  • Reduce overdue work orders and unplanned downtime.
  • Improve team competency, engagement, and performance.

Maintenance Manager - Desford - c 30ph PAYE - 12 Months Are you a hands-on Maintenance Manager who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We're looking for an experienced leader to drive equipment reliability, safety and operational efficiency, while leading and developing a high performing maintenance team (4 team leaders and 30 personnel). We are looking: - Strong leadership and team management skills. Experience in maintenance planning and execution within a large scale and high-pressure manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies Strong analytical skills with the ability to make decisions based on KPIs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems (CMMS) Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills - able to gather information, evaluate risks/benefits and document decisions Proven problem-solving ability, identifying root causes, understanding stakeholder perspectives and using diagnostic tools to implement effective solutions Experience in developing training programmes and competency frameworks Familiarity with reliability-centred maintenance (RCM) and criticality analysis Level 3 equivalent qualification in engineering (e.g. City & Guilds) If your successful, the key indicators of success within the role will be: - High completion rate of planned maintenance work orders Reduction in overdue work orders and unplanned downtime Improved team competency, engagement and performance Visible improvements in safety, quality and cost metrics Role: Maintenance Manager Location: Site based in Desford, Leicestershire Rate: c 30 ph PAYE with Pension and Holiday Hours: 37.5 per week, Mon - Wed 6am to 2:30pm, Thurs 6am to 2pm, Fri - 6am to 12:00 Start: ASAP If you have the skill set to take on this challenge.
