Key Responsibilities:
- Managing reactive breakdowns and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to ensure plant efficiency
- Working on critical plant machinery including presses, conveyors, packaging machines, and sorting systems
- Fault finding, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, including PLCs, drives, motors, and control panels
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards in a high-volume industrial production environment
- Logging and reporting necessary maintenance and operational data in accordance with internal processes
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining plant performance
Key Skills:
- Time-served electrical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
- Strong experience with electrical systems, including PLC fault finding, drives, motors, and automation systems
- Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Proactive, self-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail with a focus on maintenance improvements
