Summary: An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Technician at a leading global aerospace manufacturing organization in Belfast. This full-time role includes a 13-week probation period with the potential for transfer to the client, offering a salary progression from £39,931.32 to £44,160.48 over the first two years. The position involves ensuring optimal equipment availability and reliability through proactive maintenance and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, modifying, servicing and maintaining production equipment across all sites.
  • Ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety Legislation and safe house-keeping practices.
  • Completing scheduled job plans & breakdown assistance on production equipment to conform to the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Ensuring all maintenance activities are recorded accurately on the Maintenance Management system, effectively communicated to Senior Maintenance Engineer and stored in accordance with departmental procedures to ensure compliance with Company quality standards and with legislation.
  • Liaising & communicating at a technical level with your Senior Maintenance Engineer on any breakdown support & planned repairs.
  • Promoting team building and shared learning whilst encouraging innovative thinking and continuous improvement in all aspects of the job.
  • Undertake any other task to successfully fulfil the duties of this role.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Completed an Engineering Mechanical/Electrical Apprenticeship or attained an NVQ Level 3 in Engineering.
  • Knowledge and experience in the use and application of a computerised maintenance management system.
  • Understanding of legislation and guidelines pertaining to the maintenance-engineering environment.
  • Strong diagnostic and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience with Electrical, Mechanical, PLC and CNC systems.
  • Effective communication skills.
