Summary: The Maintenance CMMS Engineer is responsible for managing the maintenance asset database, ensuring data accuracy, and generating reports based on the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The role involves collecting and analyzing maintenance asset data, coordinating condition assessments, and supporting inventory management processes. The engineer will also participate in process improvement initiatives and train staff on asset data management. This position requires a strong technical background in engineering, particularly within the oil and gas sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the maintenance asset database, develop reports, monitor, analyze, and recommend improvements based on the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Collect, validate, input, modify, extract, and analyze maintenance asset data from multiple sources.
  • Ensure maintenance asset management information systems are regularly updated and accessible to appropriate staff.
  • Verify data accuracy within these systems and generate analysis and reports.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and performance of condition assessments and ensure data capture for use in determining asset/system failure probability.
  • Maintain and update asset data in CMMS and document management systems, including data entry, attribute updates, photo links, asset condition data, and synchronization between systems.
  • Understand and support material management and inventory system effectiveness.
  • Collaborate on Spare Part Inventory Development (SPID) processes and validate asset/spare part information prior to project handover.
  • Perform field inspections and investigations to gather asset inventory data.
  • Maintain the operations and maintenance documentation library electronically.
  • Enter inspection data into CMMS.
  • Participate in process improvement, simplification, and standardization initiatives.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of asset management database information.
  • Train staff in accessing and maintaining asset data.

  • 5–10 years of experience in upstream or midstream oil and gas project/operations engineering.
  • Degree in a relevant engineering or technical field.
