Summary: The Sr. Mainframe Programmer Analyst role is focused on mainframe development, requiring extensive experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM technologies. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
- Utilize DB2 Utilities (QMF and SPUFI) for database management.
- Employ IBM Utilities such as IEBGENER, IDCAMS, ICETOOL, DEBUGGER, FILE MANAGER, SORT, and Fault Analyzer.
- Participate in all components of software delivery including requirements gathering, design, development, and testing.
- Manage scheduling with CHANGEMAN and CONTROL-M.
- Provide excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting support.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in mainframe development.
- Expert knowledge of COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and other mainframe technologies.
- Expert knowledge of DB2 Utilities (QMF and SPUFI).
- Strong knowledge of IBM Utilities such as IEBGENER, IDCAMS, ICETOOL, DEBUGGER, FILE MANAGER, SORT, and Fault Analyzer.
- Experience with CHANGEMAN and CONTROL-M Scheduling.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior State/Federal/Government experience is preferred.
