Summary: The role of Security Engineer focuses on enhancing cloud and enterprise security through hands-on expertise in Microsoft Defender, Microsoft 365 Security, and Microsoft Entra ID. Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and manage Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Intune, Office 365, and Cloud Apps.
  • Support IDAM and Threat Protection initiatives.
  • Implement security policies in Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Center.
  • Manage identity and access controls via Entra ID, including Conditional Access and MFA.
  • Configure Microsoft Purview to support DLP efforts.
  • Conduct security assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and MSSP on incident response and system security.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud security technologies.

Key Skills:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in cybersecurity, preferably in Microsoft environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 security.
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience securing IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and Intune device management.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK).
  • Preferred Certifications: SC-200: Microsoft Security Operations Analyst, SC-300: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, SC-400: Information Protection Administrator.

Inside IR35 - 1 Day a Week Onsite

We’re looking for a skilled Security Engineer with hands-on expertise in Microsoft Defender, Microsoft 365 Security, and Microsoft Entra ID. You’ll support our security transformation programme by implementing best practices to strengthen cloud and enterprise security.
