Summary: M365 Purview Compliance Design Architect is needed for a contract role with a leading brand in Sheffield, focusing on designing enterprise-scale compliance solutions within Microsoft 365. The position involves translating regulatory requirements into enforceable policies and ensuring solutions are scalable and automated. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver enterprise-scale Purview solutions for retention, records management, and eDiscovery, translating regulatory requirements (MiFID II, SEC/FINRA, GDPR, UK DPA) into enforceable policies across M365 workloads.
- Define and implement event-based and immutable retention, life cycle and disposition workflows, retention labels/policies, auto-classification, and integrations with eDiscovery (Premium), Audit, DLP, and Legal Hold.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, automated, monitored, and audit-ready using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and Sentinel/KQL, supported by runbooks and governance artefacts.
Key Skills:
- Experience delivering Microsoft 365/Purview compliance solutions at enterprise scale (>100k users).
- Deep hands-on expertise in Purview Information Governance, Records Management, Retention (including event-based), Disposition, eDiscovery (Premium), Litigation Hold, and Audit.
- Strong knowledge of Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams, with automation via PowerShell and Microsoft Graph and strong regulatory knowledge (FCA/PRA, MiFID II, SEC/FINRA, GDPR, UK DPA).
