M365 Platform Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead and subject matter expert for the Microsoft 365 platform.
• Design, implement and optimise enterprise solutions across Microsoft 365, including Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Intune and Entra ID.
• Drive best practice around governance, security, compliance and platform administration.
• Support the adoption and development of AI-powered workplace technologies, including Microsoft Copilot.
• Develop technical roadmaps and contribute to the wider technology strategy.
• Lead solution design activities and produce architecture and technical documentation.
• Evaluate emerging Microsoft technologies and recommend improvements to the existing environment.
• Work with stakeholders across technology and the business to deliver scalable, secure and innovative solutions.
• Provide technical leadership for migration, transformation and platform enhancement projects.
• Mentor and support engineering teams while promoting engineering best practice.

Experience Required

• Significant experience administering and architecting enterprise Microsoft 365 environments.
• Strong expertise across Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune and Entra ID.
• Proven experience delivering Microsoft 365 migrations, transformations and platform improvements.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft security, compliance and governance frameworks.
• Experience working within complex enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot and emerging AI technologies within the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to senior stakeholders and business leaders.
• Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Desirable

• Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert, Azure certifications or security-related qualifications.
• Experience within financial services, regulated environments or large corporate organisations.
