M&E Site Manager

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to lead the delivery of electrical works on a live high-voltage (HV) project in Norwich.

This is a key site-based leadership role, ideally suited to someone with experience delivering electrical installations in live, high-risk or HV environments. You'll be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and high-quality execution of works while maintaining programme, quality and safety standards.

Working closely with project management, engineering, commercial, quality, health & safety and subcontractor teams, you'll take ownership of day-to-day site operations and play a pivotal role in successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day electrical site activities.
  • Lead site teams and subcontractors to deliver works safely and in line with programme.
  • Plan and coordinate labour, materials, plant and site resources.
  • Coordinate electrical installation activities with other trades and disciplines.
  • Ensure all works comply with site procedures, legislation and health & safety requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, productivity and workmanship.
  • Review drawings, specifications, RAMS and project documentation.
  • Support project planning, progress reporting and short-term lookahead programmes.
  • Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Engineers, Commercial, QA/QC and EHS teams.
  • Drive progress on site, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Support commissioning, testing, handover and project close-out activities.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across the project.

Essential Requirements

  • SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
  • Previous experience as an Electrical Site Manager, Electrical Supervisor or Electrical Construction Manager.
  • Must have worked on HVDC projects
  • Electrical background
  • Experience delivering electrical works on live sites, ideally within HV environments.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical installations, sequencing and site coordination.
  • Experience leading site teams and managing subcontractors.
  • Excellent understanding of health & safety requirements within high-risk environments.
  • Good mechanical knowledge
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
  • Strong planning, organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience managing labour, materials, plant and site logistics.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions on site.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver projects to programme deadlines.
