Summary: The Project Manager role focuses on overseeing infrastructure projects within the water and wastewater capital delivery team for a leading service provider. The position requires managing project programmes, contracts, and stakeholder relationships while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. The role is based in Glasgow with responsibilities extending to various sites across Scotland. The contract duration is 7 months and falls inside IR35 regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development of Tender, Design and Construction Programmes and Management of these Programmes throughout the Project Lifecycle.
- Review of Contracts & Specifications including the checking of drawings, specifications and Activity Schedules.
- Support for procurement of Subcontracts and materials based on detailed specifications including preparation of estimates and quotations.
- Management of Health, Safety and Environmental issues.
- Preparation and Management of Construction Phase Health and Project Quality Plans for Projects with Principal Contractor responsibility under CDM.
- Identify and monitor project risks (threats and opportunities), plan and implement mitigations to them, and respond to other issues that affect the project.
- Engage with and lead stakeholder relationships, including internal and external parties, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests.
Key Skills:
- Experience working for a Tier 1 water contractor as a Project Manager.
- Obtained or working towards EngTech, IEng, CEng, or equivalent.
- A PRINCE2 Practitioner/ APM PMQ qualification or equivalent.
- Knowledge of equipment, and materials common to all engineering trades, particularly Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering.
- NEC4 contracts.
- Full driving license.

To be successful in this position, we’re looking for someone who has:
- Experience working for a Tier 1 water contractor as a Project Manager
