Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery of M&E works on a live Life Sciences fit out project
  • Manage and coordinate specialist M&E subcontractors on site
  • Ensure all Health & Safety procedures and site compliance are maintained to the highest standard
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular project updates
  • Monitor programme, quality, and site progress
  • Coordinate with the wider project team to ensure successful project delivery

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience managing M&E projects up to £2m in value
  • Previous experience within the Life Sciences sector is essential
  • Strong understanding of laboratory and cleanroom environments
  • Excellent Health & Safety management experience
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills
  • Ability to commit to a full-time site presence from 8am Monday through the working week

Freelance M&E Project Manager - Life Sciences Fit Out

Location: Fife

Contract Length: May - September

Rate: £350 - £390 a day

We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance M&E Project Manager to join a leading business delivering a high-specification Life Sciences fit out project based North East of Edinburgh.

This project will involve the delivery of specialist laboratory and cleanroom environments, and we are looking for a candidate with proven experience managing complex M&E packages within regulated sectors.

The successful candidate will oversee the M&E delivery on site, working closely with specialist Mechanical & Electrical subcontractors already engaged on the project. The primary focus of the role will be driving Health & Safety standards, coordinating contractors, and acting as the key point of contact for the client throughout the programme.
