Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver multiple M&E projects ranging from £50k to £15m across a live operational estate
  • Ensure full compliance with CDM regulations, acting as Principal Contractor where required
  • Deliver projects in line with NEC3 contract requirements and agreed programmes
  • Provide strong health & safety leadership across site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Drive high standards of quality, ensuring compliance with relevant British Standards and client-specific requirements
  • Lead project risk management processes to ensure safe and efficient delivery
  • Support the preparation and management of quotations, estimates, and commercial performance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and client-side project teams
  • Work closely with design teams to ensure practical, cost-effective and buildable solutions
  • Ensure all projects are completed snag-free, with timely delivery of final accounts and O&M documentation
  • Mentor and support junior team members and trainees where applicable

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as an M&E Project Manager within construction or building services
  • Experience delivering projects within live/occupied environments
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC3 contracts
  • Solid understanding of health & safety legislation and multi-site project delivery
  • Experience producing quotations and estimates
  • Ability to understand and align with client operational requirements
  • Relevant technical qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent in a mechanical or electrical discipline)
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid as a minimum (JIB/BESA desirable)
  • Comfortable using IT systems such as MS Office and QA tools (e.g. Fieldview or similar)
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive, self-driven, and solutions-focused mindset

Role Overview

We’re working with a leading engineering and project delivery organisation supporting high-profile industrial sites across the UK. They are looking for an experienced M&E Project Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of concurrent projects across multiple sites in Bristol. This role will see you delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget, while operating as Principal Contractor under CDM regulations. You’ll be working to strict client-specific engineering and safety standards within a highly regulated environment.

What We’re Looking For
