The Role
As a Mechanical or Electrical Package Manager, you will take ownership of your respective MEP package, overseeing the delivery of complex installation works and ensuring packages are delivered safely, efficiently, to programme and in accordance with the required technical and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of complex mechanical or electrical installation packages.
- Take ownership of assigned packages from planning through to completion.
- Coordinate and manage specialist subcontractors and installation teams.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, progress, resources and programme.
- Coordinate MEP installation activities with wider construction and infrastructure works.
- Work closely with engineering and design teams to resolve technical issues.
- Review drawings, specifications, programmes, method statements and installation documentation.
- Monitor progress against agreed programmes and identify potential delays.
- Lead and attend progress meetings with subcontractors and project stakeholders.
- Manage interfaces between MEP packages and other project disciplines.
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications and relevant standards.
- Support the resolution of technical, construction and commercial issues.
- Monitor quality and ensure inspection and testing requirements are met.
- Ensure all works comply with project health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Maintain accurate project records and provide progress reports.
- Identify package risks, opportunities and potential changes.
- Work collaboratively with the wider project team to ensure successful delivery.
