Summary: The role of M&E Client Side Project Manager involves overseeing construction projects for a major Data Centre owner/operator, focusing on building services schemes across multiple sites. The position requires strong project management skills, particularly in MEP disciplines, and the ability to drive efficiencies while managing stakeholder relationships. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring project quality, budget adherence, and timely completion while representing client interests. This role is suited for candidates with significant experience in data centres and live environments, emphasizing a methodical approach to project oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project management and oversight of build and retrofitting activities.
  • Ownership of project scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Stakeholder management and accountability.
  • Drive efficiencies in project programs and deliver under pressure.
  • Manage contractors and consultants with a strong MEP background.
  • Creation of project scope, proposals, and capital requests.
  • Ensure total project quality and oversee commissioning plans.
  • Record and report key metrics to team members and management.
  • Support operational reviews and best practices.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment failures.
  • Collaborate with contractors and vendors for project turnovers.
  • Represent client interests and manage project risks.
  • Understand and implement temporary works plans.

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience in data centres and live DC environments.
  • MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) expertise.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong administrative skills and understanding of audit trails.
  • Ability to work independently and within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Methodical decision-making and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ACC SharePoint and construction/project package drawing review.
