Logistics Manager

Summary: The Logistics Manager role involves overseeing site operations for a high-rise residential project in Royal Tunbridge Wells. The position requires coordination of logistics, including deliveries, waste management, and labor oversight, ensuring smooth and safe site operations. The successful candidate will work with a reputable contractor known for high-spec homes and must possess relevant certifications and experience in logistics management. This freelance position is outside IR35 and offers a competitive hourly rate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and manage the Delivery Management System (DMS)
• Coordinate all site deliveries and traffic management
• Schedule vehicle movements and oversee gatekeeping
• Manage all waste removal and skip operations
• Enforce clear-up notices with subcontractors
• Ensure a clean, compliant working environment
• Oversee gatemen, marshalls, FLT drivers, general labourers, and trades
• Arrange additional site staff as needed
• Lead daily briefings and toolbox talks
• Maintain photo records and notice logs
• Liaise with QS teams on contra charges
• Attend site meetings and ensure documentation is up to date
• Manage lifting plans and welfare facilities
• Drive logistics strategy and H&S compliance across the board

Key Skills:

• SSSTS or SMSTS certification
• First Aid certification
• CSCS Card
• Strong IT and admin skills
• Proven logistics/site coordination experience on major builds
