The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team known as the Mental Health Assessment Centre( MHAC) which provides a first point of contact for people referred for assessment of mental health problems. The role involves assessment, diagnosis and initial treatment of mental illness when required as well as providing medical support and advice to the team. Depending on the agreed Job plan there may also be an opportunity to work with the co-located sector home treatment team.
