Summary: The role of Locum ENT Consultant with an interest in Otology and Paediatric ENT involves joining a dynamic team within the Ear, Nose and Throat - Head & Neck directorate at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. The appointee will contribute to delivering RTT targets, developing inpatient and outpatient services, and participating in the training of junior staff across multiple sites. The appointee will join the Trust's successful Ear, Nose and Throat - Head & Neck directorate which comprises of a team of 8 Consultant Surgeons, 1 Associate specialist, 12 Specialty doctors, 6 junior clinical fellows and 2 GPVTS trainees. Services are delivered across all Royal Free London sites including Barnet, Chase Farm, the Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead and North Middlesex University Hospital.
The Trust is going through an exciting period of change having opened a purpose built, digitally advanced elective treatment centre at Chase Farm Hospital, new audiology facilities at the Royal Free Hospital and the reconfiguration of services to deliver excellent specialist care as well as excellent local services for our large patient population.
It is expected that the appointee will help deliver RTT targets for our adult and paediatric service. In addition, they will contribute to the development and delivery of inpatient, outpatient services, whilst also contributing to the teaching and training of junior staff.
This is an appointment by the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust (RFL). The post involves cross-site working, with opportunities to join the wider team for educational and training purposes.
The indicative job plan is to be confirmed, will consist of clinic, theatre, oncall and admin time and will be built to 10 PA’s.
Job plans may be reviewed as service needs alter. The Trust has long day working and may consider weekend working in the future.
