Key Responsibilities:
- Join an expanding team in Respiratory Medicine at Ealing Hospital and Northwick Park Hospital.
- Focus on sub-specialties including Interstitial Lung Disease, airways disease, or pleural disease.
- Participate in regular multidisciplinary team meetings (MDT).
- Contribute pro rata to the Acute Medicine Rotas.
- Work collaboratively with a team including a respiratory matron, CNS, and junior doctors.
- Provide care in a 34 bedded Respiratory ward and a 6 bedded Enhanced Respiratory Unit.

Locum Consultant Respiratory Physician Applications are invited for 1.0wte position in Respiratory Medicine, based at Ealing Hospital with cross site working at Northwick Park Hospital. The successful applicant will join an expanding and dynamic forward-thinking team. The post is offered on a fixed term contract for 12 months with a view to becoming substantive in year 2. We would welcome hearing from applicants who are interested in a sub-speciality of Interstitial Lung Disease, airways disease or pleural disease. The appointee will be responsible to the Divisional Director of Integrated Medicine for London Northwest Healthcare NHS Trust. The department of Respiratory Medicine comprises 14.0 wte consultants across 3 sites: Ealing, Central Middlesex, and Northwick Park Hospitals. Although the post is based at Ealing Hospital, the successful applicant may be asked to work at any of the other sites in the future. This post will contribute pro rata to the Acute Medicine Rotas in operation at the time of appointment. The successful applicant will have a sub-specialist interest in ILD, airways disease or pleural disease and participate in regular MDT. They will also join their consultant colleagues at the Ealing site where there is a 34 bedded Respiratory ward including a 6 bedded Enhanced Respiratory Unit with a Consultant of the Week service model. The service is supported by a respiratory matron, 2 x band 7 CNS and a junior doctor establishment of 3 x SpR level, 5 x FY2 level and 2 x FY1s.
