Summary: The role of Locum Consultant Haematologist involves joining a supportive NHS team in Salisbury to provide high-quality haematology care across various services. Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-on clinical involvement as a Consultant Haematologist, working closely with other Consultant Haematologists and Associate Specialists and sharing responsibility for all haematology patients.
- Lab work.
- MDT Meetings.
- Oversee and supervise Junior Doctors and mentor when required.
- Transfusion medicine activities including transfusion, team meetings, and education sessions for general medical staff.
Key Skills:
- Full GMC registration with Licence to Practise.
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via: CCT (or within 6 months at interview), or CESR (must be on Specialist Register at time of application).
- Medical degree.
- Relevant postgraduate qualification (MRCP, FRCPath).
- Desirable: MD or equivalent higher degree, or evidence of research in haematology.

This is an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality haematology care across outpatient, inpatient, and diagnostic services, while supporting service improvement and recovery initiatives.

Registration – Essential
