Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a complex and varied caseload with appropriate supervision, support, and guidance.
- Conduct strength-based assessments tailored to individuals' needs.
- Make complex decisions and manage risks using professional judgment, evidence-based tools, and critical analysis.
- Participate in the team's duty system, ensuring timely and high-quality report submissions.
- Complete mental capacity and best interests' assessments, ensuring compliance with legislation.
- Lead safeguarding enquiries, ensuring timely completion and proper documentation under the Care Act 2014.
- Work directly with service users, carers, and families, collaborating with interagency safeguarding teams.
- Communicate effectively in complex or high-risk situations, escalating concerns when necessary.
Key Skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration (e.g., Social Work England).
- Experience in a Community Team or similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of Mental Capacity legislation and the Care Act 2014.
- Ability to work in high-pressure situations, making critical decisions.
- Willingness to work from the office three days a week (as per council policy).
- Car driver preferred due to the geographical area covered by the team.
