Summary: The Litigation & Arbitration Paralegal will support lawyers at a prominent US litigation firm in London, focusing on various dispute resolution processes including arbitrations and litigation. This role is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract with hybrid working arrangements. The successful candidate will be responsible for document management, legal research, and case tracking. Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, organise, summarise, and index documents / chronologies for cases which are fact document heavy
- Draft correspondence, disclosure requests and responses and other related documents
- Prepare and maintain documents and bundles for hearings (hard copies and soft copy PDFs, including pagination) and make regular trips to court to file documents
- Conduct business and legal research utilising online resources including but not limited to press, public documents, individuals (potential experts or meeting participants)
- Take notes of calls, meetings, and hearings and track cases online and update the team
- Identify and highlight case law
Key Skills:
- University degree (2.1 or above desirable); or similar qualification with equivalent standing
- GDL (if original degree is not in a legal discipline) and LPC essential
- Deferred Training Contract secured and 1+ years’ commercial litigation / international arbitration paralegal experience
