Key Responsibilities:
- Support a security-critical production estate, including legacy Solaris platforms.
- Perform Linux and Solaris administration tasks, including performance troubleshooting and system management.
- Administer legacy Solaris systems and ensure system stability and production support.
- Conduct OS-level troubleshooting and manage system patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
- Implement scripting and automation for operational efficiency.
- Provide production support in live enterprise environments, managing incidents, problems, and changes.
Key Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux Administration (RHEL/CentOS or equivalent).
- Deep knowledge of Solaris administration and legacy systems.
- Experience with ZFS and system stability management.
- Proficient in OS-level troubleshooting (CPU, memory, disk, services).
- Ability to perform system patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
- Experience in scripting and automation (shell, basic tooling).
- Familiarity with secure, audited, highly regulated infrastructure.
- Experience in mixed Linux and legacy Unix environments.
- Active SC clearance.
