Summary: The Linux Technical Specialist role involves managing and maintaining Linux-based infrastructure to ensure system stability, security, and performance. Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux Servers (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Perform system updates, patching, and performance tuning.
  • Monitor system health and resolve technical issues proactively.
  • Implement and maintain security controls to protect system integrity.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits.
  • Manage Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other security tools.
  • Configure and troubleshoot network settings on Linux systems.
  • Ensure seamless connectivity and integration across platforms.
  • Support DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP configurations.
  • Design and implement backup strategies for critical systems.
  • Perform regular backups and validate recovery procedures.
  • Develop scripts to automate routine tasks using Bash, Python, or Perl.
  • Support configuration management using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams and resolve Linux-related issues.
  • Work closely with developers to optimize application performance.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations and procedures.
  • Generate reports on system performance, incidents, and compliance.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator or Technical Specialist.
  • Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (eg, VMware, KVM).
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols and services.
  • Proficiency in Scripting languages (Bash, Python, Perl).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities
System Administration
Install, configure, and maintain Linux Servers (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).

Security Management
