Summary: Our client, a global media company, is seeking an AWS Systems Engineer for a contract role. The position requires strong experience in Linux systems and AWS cloud tools, with responsibilities including system administration and networking. The contract is set to run until the end of March 2026, with potential extensions. The role will involve working two days per week in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage modern Linux systems and perform system administration tasks such as user management and process monitoring.
- Handle networking tasks including firewalls, routing, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
- Implement security measures using SELinux/AppArmor.
- Manage SSL certificates with OpenSSL.
- Utilize AWS cloud tools including CloudFormation, Lambda, IAM, S3, EC2, and CloudWatch.
- Work with DevOps tooling.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience with modern Linux systems.
- System administration experience.
- Networking experience (firewalls, routing, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Security experience (SELinux/AppArmor).
- OpenSSL (SSL certificate management).
- Strong AWS cloud experience and tools (CloudFormation, Lambda, IAM, S3, EC2, CloudWatch).
- DevOps tooling experience.
Salary (Rate): £650 daily
