Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and manage Linux systems (primarily RedHat Enterprise Linux) using RedHat Satellite, Ansible, and RedHat Identity Manager.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise server performance.
- Implement automation for routine activities and infrastructure processes.
- Ensure secure and up-to-date standard Linux images.
- Maintain centralised identity and access controls.
- Provide technical authority for Linux infrastructure, collaborating with architects, developers, DevOps, security, and network engineers.
- Document solutions and contribute to IT security and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
Key Skills:
- Proven Linux Infrastructure Engineering experience (RedHat Enterprise Linux preferred).
- Strong background in complex IT environments, ideally within financial services.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise Linux applications, including: Web servers (Apache, Nginx), Databases (MySQL/MariaDB), Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), Automation tools (Ansible).
- Solid understanding of system security, patching, and performance optimisation.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
