Key Responsibilities:
- Provide UNIX administration and troubleshooting support in a fast-paced environment.
- Drive interactions with senior stakeholders and coordinate with vendors like Linux and Oracle.
- Manage user access and filesystem issues, including LVM and operating system troubleshooting.
- Utilize automation tools such as Chef and manage cloud-related tasks.
- Administer and troubleshoot backup failures using Tivoli Storage Manager.
- Ensure network connectivity and protocols are maintained with respect to UNIX platforms.
- Utilize ticketing tools like Service Now for issue tracking.
- Work on DNS, FTP, and NFS configurations.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in technology.
- 6-8 years of experience in enterprise UNIX support, specifically Red Hat Linux.
- Red Hat Certified and ITIL Foundation certified.
- Excellent communication and articulation skills.
- Experience with Veritas volume manager and Veritas cluster.
- Knowledge of AIX and cloud technologies.
- Experience in remote troubleshooting and diagnosis of UNIX issues.
- Understanding of network connectivity and protocols.

Job Description:
Bachelor’s degree in technology with working experience in Unix Must be Red Hat Certified and ITII Foundation certified. Working experience Over 6 years in fats paced UNIX environment. Excellent communication and articulation skill Ability to drive interaction with senior stakeholder. Comfortable to work in APAC/EMEA and weekend Unix Administration and troubleshooting skills, clear concepts Of LVM, user Management & Operating system Troubleshooting on filesystem & user access related issues. Deep understanding Of UNIX OS & Troubleshooting on various UNIX OS Issue Knowledge of automation, Chef, powerbroker technologies AWS / cloud knowledge would be added advantage Experience in Remote troubleshooting and diagnosis of UNIX issues Work with vendors like Linux & Oracle in coordinating hardware/software issues Understanding and troubleshooting experience of Veritas volume manger and Veritas cluster Basic Tivoli Storage Manager Client administration & able to trouble shoot backup failures & remediate the same. Good understanding of Network Connectivity and protocols with respect to the UNIX platform Exposure on ticketing tools like Service Now Understanding & experience working on DNS, FTP & NFS.
Essential Skills/Basic Qualification Engineering graduate with 6-8 years of experience in supporting enterprise Unix RedHat Linux and IT Il. foundation certified. Excellent knowledge of Veritas volume manager, Veritas cluster and VVR Knowledge on AIX/Cloud
