Summary: The role of Infrastructure Linux Engineer and Senior Infrastructure Linux Engineer involves managing and optimizing Linux environments, with a focus on system stability, security, and performance. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments and limited Windows Servers.
• Identify, analyse, and resolve complex system issues.
• Implement incident response and problem-resolution strategies.
• Utilize tools to enhance system performance proactively.
• Ensure adherence to security best practices, including patch management and vulnerability assessments.
• Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Ansible.
• Maintain technical documentation for systems.
• Lead system upgrades, migrations, and integration projects.
• Configure and manage RHEL logs for SIEM integration.
• Ensure antivirus integration and health monitoring.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams.
• Oversee execution of test scripts for platform validation.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience as a Senior Linux Engineer or System Administrator.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience.
• Expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).
• Strong scripting ability in Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Deep understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NTP).
• Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools, preferably ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of ITIL/ITSM principles and best practices.
