Summary: The role of Linux Engineer requires an experienced professional with current SC clearance and British citizenship to work in a secure environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and upgrade Linux infrastructure, primarily focusing on Ubuntu.
- Collaborate with the infrastructure team on public cloud SaaS offerings.
- Perform EUD provisioning, maintenance, patching, and hardening.
- Utilize RedHat Openshift and ensure SSO implementation.
- Work with VMware, Azure, and networking technologies.
- Implement scripting solutions using Ansible or PowerShell.
Key Skills:
- Experience with Linux, specifically Ubuntu.
- Current SC clearance and British citizenship.

We are currently looking for an experienced Linux engineer to work for a client of ours. You must have current SC clearance and be a sole British citizen for this role as it will be working in a highly secure environment. You will be working within the infrastructure team that looks after the clients public cloud SaaS offering looking after the Linux infrastructure with a main focus on Ubuntu, with the first part of this role involving upgrading a number of Ubutnu bpxes.. You will have experience with RedHat Openshift and EUD provisioning maintenance, patching and hardening. Experience with SSO. VMware, Azure and networking is a must and any Scripting experience with ansible or powershell would help. Due to the nature of the role you will need to be on site 5 days a week and the role will be outside IR35.
