Summary: The Linux Infrastructure Engineer role focuses on managing and delivering end-user device solutions, particularly with eLux systems, within a hybrid work environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the deployment and management of Elux-based systems and devices.
  • Deliver and maintain Windows 11 environments across end-user devices and virtual desktops.
  • Manage and automate deployment tasks using Jenkins, Ansible, and PowerShell.
  • Provide expert-level support for Citrix environments, including Citrix desktop delivery and user session troubleshooting.
  • Configure and manage VMware infrastructure for desktop and app virtualization.
  • Work with risk, remediation, and compliance processes related to end-user devices and infrastructure.
  • Oversee and implement solution deployments in line with infrastructure standards and client requirements.
  • Utilize or support the Scout Management System (nice to have).
  • Contribute to management or deployment of Windows 365 environments (nice to have).

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Elux systems and Linux System.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft stack – specifically Windows 11 deployment and management.
  • Experience with Jenkins, Ansible, and PowerShell for infrastructure automation.
  • Working knowledge of Citrix desktops, Citrix session management, and Citrix delivery groups.
  • Proficient in VMware administration and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
  • Exposure to risk management and remediation activities in enterprise IT environments.
  • Experience in solution design and deployments at scale.
  • Familiarity with Scout or Scout Management System (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Windows 365 / Cloud PC environment (desirable).

Linux Infrastructure Engineer— eLux Experience Contract Opportunity (Inside IR35) Location: Hybrid (2-3 days from Sheffield) We are seeking an experienced Linux Infrastructure Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in end-user device management and delivery , particularly around eLux systems, Linux, Microsoft technologies , and Citrix environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering hardware and software solutions across a large-scale enterprise, with a focus on Windows 11 , device certification , and automated infrastructure deployments .
