Summary: The role is for a Linux Engineer specializing in End User Computing with a focus on eLUX, a Citrix product. The position involves working on a project to deliver Virtual Desktop and Desktop as a Service for a bank's global End User Computing team. The contract is for 6 months, requiring a strong background in Linux and endpoint experience with eLUX. The role is deemed inside IR35 and requires a significant onsite presence in Sheffield.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage 120k eLUX devices and offload voice and video traffic from the core network.
- Implement device-based authentication (currently being tested) and user-based authentication in subsequent phases.
- Upload new builds, systems, and conduct testing/remediation as a Linux SME.
- Troubleshoot core coding on Linux.
Key Skills:
- In-depth experience with eLUX.
- Strong Linux engineering skills.
- Experience in endpoint computing and virtual desktop services.
- Ability to troubleshoot and remediate Linux systems.
