Summary: The Linux Administrator role involves supporting and optimizing enterprise-grade Linux infrastructure within a large-scale project environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for high-end GPU workstations in an enterprise environment
- Install, configure and maintain enterprise software solutions on Red Hat Enterprise Linux platforms
- Troubleshoot complex Linux system issues using structured diagnostic approaches
- Support and contribute to large-scale projects through close collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Conduct performance testing on HPC platforms using custom scripts and tools
- Analyse performance and utilisation data to produce actionable insights
- Prepare detailed technical reports covering system performance, resource usage and key metrics
- Present findings and updates to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Lead or support technical meetings to ensure project alignment and delivery
- Ensure systems meet security, compatibility and operational standards
Key Skills:
- Proven hands-on experience as a Linux Administrator or Systems Engineer
- Strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 system administration
- Proficiency in Shell Scripting and automation

- Experience working with HPC platforms, including performance testing

Linux Administrator
Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires experienced Linux Administrator to be based at their client's office in Stevenage.
This is a hybrid role - you can work remotely in the UK and attend the Stevenage office 3 days per week.
This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start asap

This role plays a critical part in supporting and optimising enterprise-grade Linux infrastructure within a large-scale project environment.
