Due to continued demand on their engineering infrastructure, they are looking for an experienced Linux Administrator to join the team on a contract basis.
THE LINUX ADMINISTRATOR ROLE
As a Linux Administrator , you will be part of a specialist team supporting engineering infrastructure primarily based on Linux across multiple network layers. You’ll be responsible for application support, HPC resource provisioning, infrastructure administration, and incident management, working closely with internal teams, third-party suppliers, and client stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Application installation, support, and upgrades
- Provisioning and support of HPC resources (e.g. Matlab environments)
- Administration of Red Hat Linux, Kickstart, and VMware systems
- Shell scripting and system automation
- Hardware diagnostics and system updates
