Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct statutory LOLER inspections on a variety of lifting equipment.
- Attend sites to examine lifting equipment and issue reports to clients.
- Perform condition surveys and provide reports on service delivery and compliance.
- Provide options for refurbishment or replacement of existing installations.
- Carry out visual surveys and produce benchmark reports on installations.
- Advise on the performance of service providers and produce maintenance audit reports.
- Travel independently to customer sites as required.
- Maintain knowledge of products and accessories.
- Complete test certificates and associated paperwork accurately and timely.
- Abide by health and safety regulations at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service and carry out other reasonable duties as needed.
Key Skills:
- Qualified to at least NVQ 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in service/maintenance lift inspections.
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing various lifts independently.
- Ability to work autonomously in a customer-facing role.
- Good written and spoken English skills.
- Excellent understanding of current health and safety procedures and standards.
- Full UK Driving license.

Job Purpose
To carry out statutory LOLER inspections on a variety of lifting equipment. Inspections to be carried out thoroughly and to an excellent standard.
Key Tasks
Insurance inspections- Attending sites, examining a wide variety of lifting equipment and issuing reports to clients.
Condition surveys - Surveying existing plants to provide a report upon the incumbent service provider's service delivery, compliance with current Health & Safety Legislation, Disability Discrimination Act compliance and short/medium/long term comments in respect to lift cycle analysis of the plant. Provide an overview report of possible options for either refurbishment of existing installation of possible replacement with a new pre-engineered modular design solution.
Equipment audits - Carry out visual surveys of existing installations to 'benchmark' the installation against our in-house predetermined 'quality' expectations and produce reports.
Maintenance audits - Providing professional advice on the incumbent service provider as to their overall performance and service delivery and produce reports.
Travelling independently to attend customer sites/premises as required.
Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of products and full range of accessories.
Completing test certificates and associated paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
Abide by Health & Safety regulations at all times.
To work in a manner that is methodical, efficient, considerate and respectful to clients at all times – providing excellent customer service.
Carry out other reasonable duties as deemed necessary by the Senior Associate.

Person Specification - Essential
Qualified (or equivalent experience) to at least NVQ 3 - Lift Engineering.
