Summary: The Liaison Engineer role is a 12-month contract position based in Solihull, focusing on reducing manufacturing variability and supporting plant issues for a Luxury Automotive OEM. The position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to monitor and report on key performance indicators. Candidates must have relevant engineering qualifications and experience in manufacturing quality operations. The role is primarily on-site, requiring four days a week presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead/drive activities to reduce manufacturing variability
- Internal & external KPI monitoring & reporting
- Understanding & communicating deteriorating metrics
- Key contact, supporting plant issues
- Change Management support
Key Skills:
- Knowledge of manufacturing and supplier quality operations and processes
- Comprehensive problem solving knowledge - Lean Six Sigma Black Belt qualified
- Engineering Degree or equivalent relevant experience in an Engineering function
- Be able to apply common processes, standards and utilise a back-to-basics approach
- Able to form good working relationships at all levels of the organisation
- Strong understanding of people and emotional intelligence is a plus
- Creates a climate in which respect, trust and mutual support are an integral part of working together
