Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to client sites to conduct thorough inspections of hot & cold-water systems, cooling towers & other water sources to identify potential hazards
- Document all water assets and trace pipework to produce, or update schematic diagrams of water systems
- Deliver clear and confident feedback to clients on the day of assessment
- Carry out audits of site records against industry guidance
- Review water hygiene practices and identify areas for improvement
- Carry out routine monitoring tasks when required
- Attend regular technical review meetings and contribute to team learning
Key Skills:
- Solid experience in Legionella risk assessments & water hygiene
- Confidence with ACOP L8, HSG274, and ideally BS8580-1
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and mobile technology
- Clear and professional communication skills with clients
- Recognised Legionella Risk Assessment qualification (ideally)
- Full UK driving licence & use of own car

Legionella Risk Assessor – Scotland (Carlisle, Glasgow, Edinburgh) £400 per day (outside IR35) + mileage + accommodation costs covered
We are looking to engage with an experienced contract Legionella Risk Assessor to travel to various client sites in & around Scotland, undertaking risk assessments in line with ACOP L8, HSG274, and BS8580-1 standards. This will suit a professional contractor with other clients, who is happy to add further contract work to their portfolio – projects could include 2-3 days a week or blocks of weeks per month initially & growing!
Legionella Risk Assessor responsibilities include:

- You communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- You ideally hold a recognised Legionella Risk Assessment qualification
- You’ve got a full UK driving licence & use of your own car
