Summary: The role of Legal Secretary at a well-established law firm in Leeds involves supporting the Housing team by managing workloads, maintaining diaries, and preparing legal documents. Key Responsibilities:

  • Organising and prioritising workloads in conjunction with fee earners
  • Maintaining fee earner diaries and managing day-to-day commitments
  • Preparing inward and outward correspondence
  • Opening and closing files, ensuring compliance with money laundering documentation
  • Liaising with clients and taking instructions under supervision
  • Preparing and submitting property searches and legal documents
  • Producing and assisting in the completion of monthly bills
  • E-filing of documents and correspondence
  • Coordinating room bookings, accommodation, and travel for fee earners
  • Setting out of office greetings and managing email messages

Key Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Packages
  • Experience with Searches, Land Registry, and Stamp Duty Land Tax interfaces
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in document management systems
  • Fast and accurate typing skills
