Summary: A law firm with 160 users is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer with a strong technical background in networking, server administration, and security. The role involves installing and supporting LAN and WAN networks, managing user accounts, and working on infrastructure projects. Candidates should have over 3 years of experience with various Microsoft technologies and excellent communication skills. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement with a preference for candidates with prior experience in a law firm or similar professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure and support the law firm's LAN and WAN networks, servers, and associated systems.
- Maintain network hardware and software.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd line diagnostics and resolutions.
- Manage user accounts and document infrastructure configurations, changes, and performance metrics.
- Work on infrastructure projects such as the forthcoming office move.
Key Skills:
- 3+ years of solid working experience with MS Windows Server, VMWare, InTune, MS 365, Exchange Online, SQL Server build and management, and MS Entra/Azure AD hybrid management.

A friendly 160 user law firm are looking for experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer who has a diverse technical background covering networking, server administration and security allowing you to :-
- install, configure and support this mid tier law firm's LAN and WAN networks, Servers and associated systems.
- maintain network hardware and software
- provide 2nd and 3rd line diagnostics and resolutions
- manage user accounts and document infrastructure configurations and changes and performance metrics
- work on infrastructure projects such as their forthcoming office move.
You will need proven experience of 3+ years solid working experience with MS Windows Server, VMWare, InTune, MS 365, Exchange Online, SQL Server build and management and MS Entra/Azure AD hybrid management. Reporting to the COO and liaising with the firm's stakeholders you will need excellent communication skills and being a small IT team, you will need to be happy to muck in and share knowledge and help the team with other areas of IT when required.
You need to be able to start between 20th April and 4th May to ensure a good handover period and can either join on a 6 month fixed term contract, contract to perm or permanent basis. Previous experience working in a law firm or similar sized professional services firm is very much preferred and will give you the edge as you will understand the legal applications and demands of a partnership.
The role is based 3 days a week in their City, London office and 2 days from home.
