Summary: NTU International A/S is seeking a Legal Expert to join a consortium for the EIB funded JETP South Africa Transnet Decarbonisation Framework Loan project. The role requires extensive legal experience in large transport infrastructure projects, particularly within Sub-Saharan Africa. The position is based in South Africa and is expected to last until Q3 2026. Candidates must possess a relevant university degree and a strong command of English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice related to loans, grants, and exemptions for the project.
- Support the core team during the implementation of the project.
- Engage in legal aspects of large transport infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and ensure compliance with legal frameworks.
Key Skills:
- University degree in Law, Economics, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in oral and written English.

Minimum Qualifications and skills:
- University degree in Law, Economics or equivalent.

Minimum General & Specific professional experience:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in legal advice to large transport infrastructure projects, of which at least 3 years should be preferably in Sub-Saharan African countries.
- Working experience in South Africa is an added advantage.
- Involvement in a minimum of 2 large transport infrastructure projects in the past 10 years.
- Involvement in a minimum of 1 transport project in a developing country, preferably in Sub-Saharan Africa, financed by EU, EIB or other IFI’s in the past 10 years.
