Key Responsibilities:
- Serving as a key legal advisor to stakeholders, offering guidance and support to the Sales & Marketing teams across various projects.
- Preparing, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements to safeguard the organisation’s legal and commercial interests while mitigating risks.
- Partnering with cross-functional teams within the business to drive organisational goals and initiatives.
- Enhancing standard contract templates and guidance materials to align with evolving processes and legislative changes.
- Providing strategic advice on dispute avoidance and resolution, including conducting risk assessments, negotiating settlements, drafting correspondence, and preparing for potential litigation.
- Overseeing and advising on miscellaneous matters as they arise, such as employment-related issues, customer care concerns, incident management, and company secretarial tasks.
- Staying informed about legal developments and delivering relevant updates to the team and stakeholders through training sessions, written guidance, or other resources.
- Championing legal best practices and fostering compliance across all areas of the organisation.
Key Skills:
- 0-2 years PQE with non-contentious commercial experience.
- Experience in commercial contracts, IP, labelling, advertising, promotions, and sponsorship.
- Awareness of competition law, data protection, business ethics, employment, product liability, and licensing issues.
- The ability to simplify and effectively communicate complex legal information.
- Ability to interpret contract documents and applicable legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.
