Summary: The Legal Counsel role involves supporting the UK business of a leading international company based in Warwickshire. The position requires handling a variety of in-house commercial work, including B2B contracts, data protection, and corporate matters, while also mentoring junior team members. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with a skilled General Counsel and to develop commercial acumen in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have at least 2 years of commercial experience, either in-house or at a law firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a broad range of in-house commercial work.
- Manage B2B commercial contracts, IT/Tech, and data protection matters.
- Support senior lawyers on large projects.
- Roll out training and coach junior team members.
- Build relationships and influence key leaders.
- Develop commercial acumen and manage commercial risk.
Key Skills:

Legal Counsel role with a leading international business based in Warwickshire Supporting the UK business, you will join a dynamic, highly regarded team of 5 and handle a broad range of in-house commercial work. You will gain exposure to the full range of B2B commercial contracts IT/Tech, data protection, corporate matters and manage commercial risk, support senior lawyers on large projects, roll out training and also coach and mentor more junior team members The team is headed by a highly skilled and empathetic GC, an ideal mentor for anyone building their in-house legal career. You will enjoy building relationships, influencing key leaders, and be naturally inquisitive always looking to develop commercial acumen The team is close-knit, proactive with high standards of integrity so a team ethos is key and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment Ideally for this Legal Counsel role you will have 2+ years commercial experience either gained in-house or with a law firm The HQ is Warwickshire and you will be on-site 3 days pw. Salary on offer is very competitive c.65-80 depending on experience plus bonus and other benefits.
