Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support on property matters, including landlord and tenant issues.
- Assist with administration and legal aspects of the Group's commercial and office premises.
- Support timely resolution of disputes without litigation where possible.
- Coordinate litigation and manage external legal providers.
- Advise on residential estate matters and property management agreements.
- Administer contracting policy and draft bespoke contracts.

Description
Property & Corporate Estate
- Provide legal support on property matters, including landlord and tenant issues.
- Assist with administration and legal aspects of the Group's commercial and office premises.
- Liaise with external solicitors and consultants as required.
Dispute Resolution & Litigation
- Support timely, cost-effective resolution of disputes without litigation where possible.
- Coordinate litigation and manage external legal providers to ensure quality and cost control.
- Liaise with insurers for effective claims management.
Estate Management
- Advise on residential estate matters, including leaseholder issues and property management agreements.
- Provide legal guidance on Right to Manage, enfranchisement, and property transfers.
- Stay updated on landlord and tenant legislation and relevant codes of conduct.
Contracts & Construction
- Administer contracting policy and review/update standard form contracts.
- Draft bespoke contracts for non-standard arrangements.
- Provide training on contract use and risk awareness.
- Ensure compliance with construction law and best practice.
Regulatory Compliance
- Advise on laws and regulations affecting the Group.
- Maintain and update policies on Anti-Bribery, AML, Data Protection, Anti-Slavery, and related areas.
- Monitor legislative changes and advise accordingly.
Sales & Marketing
- Support legal aspects of plot sales, part-exchange, and marketing campaigns.
- Review advertising copy and draft compliant terms for promotions.
- Advise on agency contracts and regulatory codes.
Land & Multi-Tenure
- Provide legal advice on land acquisitions/disposals, planning agreements, and infrastructure.
- Support landlord and tenant matters for new tenancies and management issues.
External Firms
- Coordinate with external solicitors and monitor outsourced legal costs.
