Summary: The role of Legal Counsel – Marketing is a 3-month fixed-term contract based in Uxbridge, requiring an experienced solicitor with over 5 years of post-qualification experience. The position involves providing legal support for commercial, marketing, and sponsorship operations within a leading global consumer goods brand. The successful candidate will draft and negotiate various agreements while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts including sponsorship, partnership, SaaS, consulting, IP licence, and master services agreements.
  • Providing clear, business-oriented legal advice to marketing and commercial teams across the EMEA region.
  • Supporting complex commercial projects and advising on brand and consumer promotions.
  • Managing external counsel relationships where needed.
  • Developing and maintaining contract templates and delivering internal legal training.
  • Contributing to wider legal team projects and initiatives in a flat, non-hierarchical team structure.

Key Skills:

  • UK qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally gained in both private practice and in-house settings.
  • Proven track record in commercial law, particularly in drafting and negotiating marketing or sponsorship agreements.
  • Strong commercial awareness and excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Effective communicator with a collaborative approach and the ability to build strong internal relationships.
  • Energetic, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

Salary (Rate): £90,000.00 yearly

A leading global brand in the consumer goods sector is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel (5+ years PQE) to join its dynamic EMEA legal team.
